Biography
Chaur-Fong Chen graduated from OSU in 1992 with a doctoral degree in civil engineering and neural science. He has conducted pioneering research in the application of remote sensing for agricultural management, and went on to join the College of Engineering faculty as an assistant professor in bioresource engineering. While at OSU he was appointed co-director of the Center for Airborne Environmental Analysis. In 1991, Chaur-Fong co-founded Penmetrics, a company focusing on digital field solutions that was subsequently purchased by Tripod Data Systems. He currently manages software research and development for the company, and continues to have a major impact on both technology and business development at TDS.
